"Where's my Hossenfeffer?!"
Haha, sorry. I just had that in my head. [/random]

So. A new HARPG char for my ranch, Double Dance stables. This is a guy that's been brewing in my head for a few weeks, or.. well, months. He's actually almost entirely based off of a horse that I saw at a show in Beaulieu (QC) during the Grand Prix jumpers, this past summer. He was ridiculously awesome and so badass and just amazing. When he ran towards a jump, he would toss his head and swerve left and right, and the whole crowd would just hold their breath because it looked like he'd either toss his rider off or not clear the jump at all. But once he took off, he'd have perfect form and scope. Really a spectacular animal to watch. :)
So I based a character off of him, lmao. Another horse at another summer show (Blainville, this time) was crazy, too. I hate the rider, but the horse was wicked. After a really speedy course, the rider couldn't pull him up, and the horse was literally cantering sideways in excitement, with these huge strides. So awesome.

:bulletblue: Registered Name: DD Kingpin
Barn Name: King
Gender: Stallion
D.O.B.: 10/9/2000
Breed: Dutch Warmblood
Bloodline: Unknown (Foundation Import)
Phenotype: Buckskin; four socks and a stripe.
Eyes: Light chocolaty brown
Genotype: Ee / AA / nCr
Height: 16.3hh
Build: Buff, large and tankish. He's big-boned, beefy, long-legged, but still stocky. He has a large, square head, muscular neck, fat hooves, expressive eyes, large joints and a incredibly powerful hind end. He sometimes seems disproportionate at some angles, too, because he's so big and awkward. His conformation is also not exactly exceptional. He has a few basic faults, like a big head, pigeon-toed hind feet, a bit of a crooked/bumpy roman nose, somewhat splayed hooves, etc.
Breeder: N/A
Owner/trainer: *Hazel-rah of Double Dance.
Temperament: A freak of nature, and a bit of a fearless speed demon. He's actually generally fairly normal in most circumstances, but is quite studly, a show-off, spirited, boisterous, lively, energetic, alert, attentive, expressive, bold, and perky. When under saddle, though, he's insane. He strongly dislikes dressage, and has no patience for it, so will often try to buck off his rider, rear, bolt, grab the bit, and basically be a prick whenever he feels a rider start to try and collect him and make him do dressage moves. For jumping, though, he's a different horse entirely. As soon as he sees something jumpable, he perks up and has to jump it, regardless of if the rider's following or not. He also has this weird, spazzy technique where he'll zigzag, swerve and beeline towards the jump, shaking his head madly, before taking off. He becomes so excited and feisty, he forgets he has a rider and literally ignores all aids, just zigzagging crookedly and savagely, as if the rider has lost control entirely. As soon as he reaches the jump, though, he takes off right down the center and clears it flawlessly, often over-jumping it by near a foot (unless it's a huge jump.) He absolutely hates the bar, and cannot touch it, mainly because of fear. He can't keep a straight line, either (or at least has a very hard time doing so.) His favorite type of jump/course is Puissance, but he's very talented at speed stakes, too. The highest he's ever jumped was 7', but we aim to push that bar higher, since he seems to enjoy it. x)
Discipline(s): "Stadium" show jumping
History: We saw him at the breeding barn he was born and raised at, in the Netherlands, and immediately knew he was something special. He actually has fairly poor gaits (his trot isn't bad when he pushes himself, but his canter is sloppy at best, and his walk is goofy), which is odd because his bloodlines are quite good. In any case, his gaits – or lack thereof, rather – made us question purchasing him, but as soon as we saw him getting free-jumped as a two-year-old, we knew he was coming back to DDS with us. In one video of him free-jumping as a yearling, he overjumped one hurdle by close to three feet. When we first got him, he was very out of shape, and quite fat. We had to work endlessly to make him drop the excess weight and build a suitable muscle mass with the help of very diverse diets, too. He went for training for a few weeks with Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum, a few years after we purchased him, as well. Other than her and a trainer when he was a young lad being broken in, he's only ever had one rider who could tolerate him and be tolerated by him, which is our veteran jumping trainer, lol. King may not be the prettiest, or the best mover, but god damn, this horse is a pure freak when placed in front of a jump.
Awards & Winnings: Second place at the CN International, bronze medalist in team Olympic show jumping, fourth in the British Open, Spruce Meadows Masters finalist, placed top three in multiple Grand Prix events across North America, and won the CN World Cup GP.
Offspring: Marilyn (silver buckskin WB filly, out of Glittering, owned by *Greatalmightyqueen).
Restrictions: Must be bred to realistic Warmblood mares only (DevNote me to discuss otherwise.) Also, don't make a carbon copy of him with his foals... His unique jumping method isn't necessarily hereditary, and his raw jumping skill can be passed down, but please don't assume that all of his foals will be freak jumpers.
Availability: Currently available for private leases.
